A New York photographer with a compelling vision

“I have been a photographer for as long as I can remember. I bought my first camera at age 12 and studied photography throughout high school, spending countless hours in the darkroom. My early exposure to the art of photography sets the foundation for my work today.”

“My primary focus lies in composition, and I strive to convey an emotion through every image. Photography is by its very nature a ubiquitous art form – my inspiration lies in the challenge to capture something unique.”

Key to Roger’s technique is working with nature just as he finds it. “I work almost exclusively in natural light outdoors and react to my surroundings in a handheld documentary style – I spend little time, if any, ‘creating’ a scene.”

Roger was raised in Hingham and Chatham, MA. After graduating from Amherst College he moved to New York City where he has lived, worked and raised his wonderful family for the last 24 years. He is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, a financial services firm.

“Photography is a wonderful escape and something I am truly passionate about. Each and every time I go out for a shoot, I am driven to produce something memorable.”
